this is how i feel.okay,heres the story.my best friend marlene has a freind named caroline.tonight she called me and asked if we could have a sleepover.she told me that her and caroline were gooing to have a sleepover but somthing came up and she couldnt come.marlene lives practicly across from caroline.anyway marlene had to call me back because she was a little busy but right before she hung up i heard carolines voce in the background.ten miutes later marlene called back and said that somthing came up and she couldent have a sleepover.she said that she had to "clean out the one room upstairs and turn it into an awsome hangout aria"but i know what was really going on.caroline must have called back and said she cold play.as in marlene decided to ditch me and have a sleepover with caroline instead.marlene is a mean ,hoerrible ,stupid,retarded,turd,I HATE HER

.......I hate friends who do that! >:-( I mean sometimes I want a sleepover and when my frien says no and I call myonly other friend the my other friend says yes when she said no at least I apoligize! And try to have a doble sleepover. What else has this Marlien person done to you that makes her mean? Or is that privit.....it is ok if it is....^_^'

I'm sorry, but that's a really stupid reason to say you hate someone. Maybe she just wanted a sleepover with Coroline, and not you? You can't be selfish when it comes to this stuff. I know you're probably going to hold a grudge against me (trust me, I'm famous for making grudges around here) for calling you selfish, but when you look back on this, you'll see that I'm right. Sometimes, our best friends just want a brake from us to hang out with other people. My best friend and I did that every now and then, and we never got mad at each other. Of course, there were times where I felt like she was leaving me, but she always came back. Everybody needs a break from their close friends to meet new people. So don't sweat the little stuff. And don't /ever/ say you hate someone. You'll end up regretting it.

hmm. i have to agree with shameless.
it's okay for your friend to have another best friend apart from you. you can have multiple best friends.
i'm sure marlene just wants to spend some time with caroline because maybe she wants to get to know her better. how long have you and marlene been friends? much more than she has been with caroline, i'm sure.
just don't sweat it, and try to let it go.
she'll come back, i promise.
if not, well, you can be my best friend instead.

I agree.....uh, if this is the only time she has "ditched" you then don't worry...if it is like the 5,9,15, ect. then mabey she is branching away from you....or mabey just making new friends...:-3

me and marlene have been friends longer than her and caroline.the only problem is that we already had it set up .i was actually getting ready to pack my things for her house.but her and caroline have been friends for 2 years now.its not like shes making a new friend or anything.i have a lot of friends.im not one of those people who belives i can only have one friend.the other problem is that marlene and caroline are practicly inseperatble.marlen spend all her free time with her.its not like I spend all my time with her.i hardy spend any time at all with her.and this isnt the first time.once,me and marlene had just had a sleepover and i was suppoused to spend anoter 4 hours with her because my perents werent home.anyway,caroline called and said she coud play.marlene asked her mom if caroline could and her mom said no because i was here and coulent go home.well marlene threw a huge hissy fit and sterted screaming at her mom.she said(right in front of me)that she wanted me to go home so she could spend some time with caroline.when her mom said no marlene hid behind a couch and cried untill i called my mom and said i wanted to go home.

While i appreciate that you're upset with your friend, i don't believe it's any excuse to draw nasty pictures about hurting her violently. I'm not talking about this pic, i'm talking about the "Before and after" one that you drew. That picture seems to me that it goes against the boards rules, and so it was deleted.
Please keep your drawings tasteful and try not to be cruel.
I'm not sure if I'm reading this right, but it seems to me that in your first story that it was actually caroline that marlene had the first plans with. When caroline couldn't come over (at first) marlene called you. But when caroline changed her mind, or maybe her parents changed their minds, marlene had to call you and withdraw her invitation. It may not be her fault, either. It seems to me that her parents have some sort of rule about only having one friend over at a time (from what i read in the second story), so it's not that she didnt want you to come over, but maybe that she couldn't have another friend over.
Probably the reason marlene and caroline spend so much time together is that they live so close together. I know if i had a friend that lived that close when i was 11 i probably would have spent a lot of time with them, too. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try to spend some time with her, though, if you still want to be best friends. Maybe make a play date, or plan a sleep over or something. Don't write her off, just yet. But if it continues to not work, maybe you should spend some time with other friends, and try not to be so terribly upset with marlene.
