Did you draw all these?
I would like to commission you to do a piece of art for me.
For private commissions, please check my commission status and e-mail me if it's open and you are interested. For business commissions, please contact me and I will get back to you promptly.
May I repost your artwork on my website?
Yes, provided you can meet the following conditions:
You may not claim the art as your own.
You may not edit out the watermark on the artwork, or change the dimensions of the image.
You may not post the art for commercial gain.
Do not repost more than 15 of my images. I do not want massive archives of my work hosted offsite.
Credit must be posted nearby the image to www.neondragonart.com.
You may not hotlink images off my site. You must upload them to your own server to display them.
May I tube your artwork?
I'm sorry, I no longer allow my artwork to be tubed. I've had a lot of problems with credit on these works in the past.
May I redraw your artwork?
If you are practicing, certainly! If you end up reposting the image based on my art, please give credit to www.neondragonart.com somewhere near the artwork. If you want to redraw my artwork to fill out a portfolio, for commission, for any sort of monetary gain (this includes Neopoints, Gaia points, and Warcraft gold) then you may not redraw my artwork. My art may only be redrawn for practice and non-commercial purposes.
Will you look at my artwork?
Certainly! Go ahead and write me an e-mail and include a link to the image you would like me to take a look at. Please do not attach images to your e-mail.

Please teach me to draw!
These online tutorials are what I offer in the way of art instruction. Much as I would like to, I really do not have the time to give all my visitors 1 on 1 art instruction. The goal of the tutorials section was to hopefully be able to give mini lessons to anyone who's interested in learning a particular technique I use. If you desire personal feedback and critiques, I highly recommend paying a visit to the NeonDragonArt.com Messageboards. The art section there is full of artists who share their work, and share their thoughts on the work of others.

I have colored some of your lineart from the coloring bin. May I post it online?
Yes, it is fine if you would like to post the images that you colored online; however, you must credit the lineart with the text "NeonDragonArt.com" on or near the image. You may use the lineart for fun and practice. You may not use the lineart for projects that will be sold, portfolios, schoolwork, or commercial advertisement.

Will you make a new tutorial about ________________?
I will try and update with new tutorials as often as possible, but I will probably not be taking suggestions. The reason why is that I make tutorials about things I do fairly often and fairly well. I get requests for all kinds of things that I just don't excel at. For example: Giant robots. Yes, I may be able to draw a giant robot better then an average person, but that doesn't mean that I'm nessesarily a giant robot expert or at all qualified to make a tutorial about mecha!

What paint program should I get?
Tough call. Different paint programs excel at different things, but most of the big ones will be able to accomplish the painting style and effects I use in my tutorials. For the "real paint" look, Corel Painter wins hands down. For the best photo editing software, Photoshop is winner. Now I know that painter has options that allow you to manipulate a photo, and that photoshop has options that allow you to paint, but each program has their strength. I personally adore using Photoshop to paint because I like to use all the layer options normally used in photo editing while I paint! Other recommended painting programs include Open Canvas and Paint Shop Pro.

Can I use Illustrator to paint?
Short answer: no. Adobe Illustrator is a program designed to create vector artwork. This is a form of artwork commonly used in commercial illustrations and products that is resolution independent. The way you create artwork in Illustrator is not to "paint" but to create layered paths and shapes.

What is a wacom tablet?
A pen tablet is a tablet that connects up to your computer and allows you to use a pen-like stylus to draw with. The ones made by wacom are pressure sensitive. It's compatable with many paint programs. To get the most out of your pressure sensitivity, you can configure brushes to use more/less opacity or more/less line thickness with pen pressure.
Which tablet do you use? Which one should I get?
I've been using the Wacom 12wx since early 2008. I do not recommend this as your first tablet simply because it's a thousand dollar piece of hardware. If you've never had a pen tablet before or have never done digital art, I would not invest in such a pricey product because you do not even know if you like digital art yet.
I highly recommend the wacom bamboo fun as your first tablet. They start at around $100.
My wacom tablet isnt' pressure sensitive!
It probably is. Take a look at your tablet. If you put your pen in the upper left corner, and the cursor on your monitor isn't on the upper left of the screen, then it means you didn't install your driver. If you plug in your tablet with no driver installed, it operates like a glorified mouse. Follow the install instructions that came with your tablet and make sure that the paint program you're using is compatable with wacom's pressure sensitivity. Most of the major ones are, but MSPaint, and the shiipainter oekakis are not.

I am under 13 and wish to join your messsageboards.
The messageboards will not let you complete registering your account unless you are 13 years of age or older, or have a signed parental consent form. I'm honestly not prepared to deal with accepting parental consent forms. If you are underage and wish to join the forums, you will have to wait until you are older. Apologies. The site for the most part is PG, but we do have some PG13 artwork and forum posts, and I just don't have the energy or desire to strictly enforce G-rated content.

I am being harassed by another user.
If working it out on your own does not pan out, send a private message to a moderator that is in charge of the forum where the issue took place.
How do I place an image in a post?
You will need to upload the image to your own webspace, or the webspace of a mass gallery, and then insert it using BB code. The new message boards also allow attachments. You can save as a .jpg, .gif, or .png file and attach the image to your post.

Will you link to my website?
Send me the link and I will take a look. You must be an art site. You must have your own server. (no deviantart accounts, livejournals, myspace pages, photobucket albums, or angelfire pages please!) You must be the artist to submit it.
Will you continue your comics?
TimeScapes and Phantom 20/20 have officially been discontinued for a variety of reasons. In general, they were poorly planned which resulted in a story that went everywhere and became something that I quickly fell out of love with.
Will you ever make a new comic?
In all likelyhood, yes. I learned a lot making TimeScapes and Phantom. I learned that I do love making comics, but the importance of planning and designing in advance. The importance of schedules and dedication.
Where did you get your oekaki board?
NeonDragonArt.com uses Rydia's Doekaki.
Where did you get your message board?
It came from PHPbb.com. You will need your own website with a MYSQL database to install it.
