Like everyone else here, get trial first :)

But as for the quality, it is exellent and has lots of tool and pretty smooth menu desing.
But as they say, "judge it yerself. For yourself."

wondering if this is anygood seeing that i can dl it from adobe, or is there something better

Are you sure your talking about Cs4? Cs4 is the newest top of the line version of photoshop. It has new awesome tools like the ability to dodge and burn but retain the color. It also comes with around a $700 price tag. D: D: D: So even if this is the version you speak of don't download it, if something screws up that is hundreds of dollars down the drain. :-(

Hmm i wish i could get Cs4, :embarrassed: but we have a new computer being put up today @ home and i'll get PSe 7 on it :gasp: i dont make any sense do i?

Meh, I don't think Photoshop CS, CS2 and CS3 differ all that much from eachother (only in the interface), so I can't really imagine CS4 to be all that much more amazing all of a sudden either.

I use CS2 for everything I do, and it's perfect enough. Unless Adobe comes out with an entirely new kind of Photoshop, I'm not likely to change versions.
