Begin your ear by drawing the basic shape of the ear and the cartilage that runs along the edge. The cartilage will get thicker where it meets up with the head. Between these, draw a series of "U" shapes that will further define more rings of cartilage on the interior of the ear. If desired, you can have your ear have a series of nicks or pieces missing where your character or creature may have gotten into a fight.

Begin drawing your ear as a simple thing, getting the shape of the ear that you want independent of the webbing. This will give you a good base to work off of. Add cartilage that rims the edges of the ear, and "U" shapes of it in the interior of the ear. After this, put a series of evenly spaced branches on the edge of the ear that start large and get small. Connect each of these with a "U" shape of webbing.

To draw a cat-like ear, begin by drawing an ear that tapers to a point, roughly forming a triangle shape. Give it a large ridge of cartilage along the top, and a smaller one along the bottom. You can fill the interior of the ear with rings of cartilage, or fluff if you desire.

Fantasy ears can come in many shapes and sizes, so don't be afraid to experiment. This one is a rather large ear that makes a scoop shape. To achieve the "scoop" effect, make the ear should have a large, round base, and the edge of the ear itself should be a somewhat flat plan that meets this round base. Adding tufts of hair along the edges or in the interior can be a fun choice.
